When my 2017 VW AllTrack started making a grinding sound, I was told that I needed a new transmission and that any attempt to incrementally diagnose and fix the problem would end up being more hassle and problems. This "solution" came to the tune of anywhere from $15,000-13,000 dollars. I complained that at 65K I should not need a new transmission and as luck would have it I was just past my warranty. A goodwill offer was made to reduce the cost of this work but I was still on the hook for about $9000. I decided to get a second opinion from Wrench Werks and found out that it was my motor and transmission mounts that were shot as well as a leaking transmission cooler. All said and done, it came out to a lot less than $9000.00 and they also found some other issues that were missed by the previous shop. Wrench Werks saved my Alltrack and my $$$ and I will continue to enjoy this vehicle for its practicality and design.
